Origin & History

K2 Jasper — more accurately known as K2 Stone or K2 Granite — is one of the rarest and most visually striking natural stones on earth. Found only at the base of Mount Godwin-Austen (K2), the second-highest mountain in the world, this stone forms in an extremely remote part of Northern Pakistan. Because of its isolated alpine environment, it was discovered only recently (around 2011–2014), making it a modern gemstone discovery.

This stone is a natural combination of:

• Granite (white/gray base)
• Bright blue Azurite orbs scattered throughout
• Sometimes tiny traces of Malachite
