Kunzite is a pink to violet variety of spodumene, first identified in the early 1900s and named after gemologist George Frederick Kunz. It is most commonly sourced from Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, and parts of the United States.

Unlike stones with ancient lineage in traditional medicine systems, Kunzite’s significance is largely modern. Its rise in popularity comes from both its unique mineral composition and its observed energetic qualities, particularly in relation to emotional balance and nervous system support.
