Please note: 1️)See Choosing & Understanding Bracelet Sizing below; 2️)Stone Bead sizes, inclusions, and color patterns vary naturally — no two stone beads or bracelets are exactly alike; 3️)Colors may appear slightly different under various lighting or screens.
🌍 Origin & History
These Labradorite stone beads come in two natural color varieties commonly seen in high-quality material:
Light-Silver Labradorite
This variety tends to come from Madagascar (which these stones are from Madagascar), known for paler body color, softer inclusions, and electric blue or aqua flash.
The lighter body tone happens because the stone contains fewer iron impurities and thinner feldspar layers, allowing more light to pass through the stone and illuminate the internal flash.
Dark Gray / Mossy Labradorite
Often sourced from Canada, Finland, or India, this version has a deeper smoky-gray base and is from Canada.
Darker Labradorite contains more iron, hematite micro-inclusions, or other mineral content, causing the body color to look deeper while enhancing gold, green, and blue flashes.
✨ Why the Two Shades Are Natural
Labradorite’s color comes from light interference inside layers of feldspar.
The shade difference is caused by:
- Thickness and spacing of feldspar layers
- Mineral impurities (iron, graphite, or hematite traces)
- Origin-based geological conditions
- Amount of internal micro-fractures that create “labradorescence”
Neither version is dyed or treated — these are completely natural variations formed over millions of years.
Also known as:
- Spectrolite (when dark + highly colorful, typically from Finland)
- Rainbow Moonstone (incorrect but commonly used for white labradorite variety)
- Fasnacht Stone (old gemological term)
- Fire Stone (ancient Inuit myth reference)
Notes:
- These stone beads contain natural feldspar layering, internal “smoke-like” inclusions, and golden/blue flash.
- Both variations are authentic Labradorite, not Moonstone or dyed feldspar.
- Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar and naturally ranges from pale gray to deep charcoal.
- Hardness: 6–6.5 (durable but avoid dropping).
Eastern Healing Perspectives
Labradorite is not heavily featured in classical TCM or Ayurveda because it was not native to China or India historically — but in modern integrative gemstone therapy, it is widely used symbolically for the Shen (Spirit), Kidney Qi, mental clarity, and emotional stabilization.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Modern TCM gemstone practitioners associate Labradorite with:

Though not an ancient Chinese stone, it is used symbolically for mental and emotional support.
