Origin & History

This Moonstone is sourced from Sri Lanka, a region globally revered for producing some of the finest-quality Moonstone in the world. Sri Lankan Moonstone is especially prized for its translucent body and blue adularescence, a floating glow caused by light scattering between naturally layered feldspar structures.

Ancient civilizations believed Moonstone to be solidified moonlight. Roman scholars documented its shifting glow, while in India it was worn as a sacred stone of protection, fertility, and divine feminine energy.
