Every Gem has a Story to Tell… and this Signature Wrap Necklace lets you wear that story your way. Deep-blue Lapis Lazuli rounds (6–13 mm), cool Sodalite heishi and chips, and a few sprinkled 6 mm Clear Quartz accents create a layered look that’s both striking and soothing. It closes with a round stainless-steel carabiner you can swap for other styles to change the vibe—see the Necklace Carabiner page for options. Wear it long, double it, or wrap it close: one necklace, many looks.

🌍 Origin & History

Lapis Lazuli

  • A historic gemstone from Afghanistan’s Sar-e-Sang mines (also found in Chile, Russia, Pakistan). Celebrated in ancient Egypt (royal inlays, eye cosmetics), Mesopotamia, and the Renaissance (ground into ultramarine pigment for master paintings).
  • Composition: lazurite with calcite and pyrite; Mohs ~5–5.5 (beautiful but relatively soft/porous).

Sodalite

  • Discovered in Greenland (1806) and famously quarried in Ontario, Canada (“Princess Blue” after Princess Margaret). Also from Brazil, Namibia, and Bolivia.
  • Composition: a feldspathoid rich in sodium; Mohs ~5.5–6. Loved for sky-and-storm patterns of royal to denim blue with white veining.

Clear Quartz (accent beads)

  • Ubiquitous “Master Healer” crystal across cultures; prized from the Alps to Japan for clarity and durability (Mohs 7). In this design, Quartz quietly amplifies the overall field.

🌸 Also known as:

  • Lapis Lazuli → Lapis, Lazurite-bearing rock
  • Sodalite → Princess Blue (trade), sometimes mistaken for Lapis
  • Clear Quartz → Rock Crystal, Crystal Quartz

🌸 Notes:

  • Lapis and Sodalite can look similar; Lapis often shows golden pyrite flecks and richer ultramarine; Sodalite skews cooler/denim with more white calcite and fewer metallic flecks.
  • Lapis is frequently waxed and lower grades may be dyed in the market; Sodalite may be resin-stabilized in some beads.

Eastern Healing Perspectives

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

Lapis Lazuli (TCM):

Practitioners associate lapis with soothing Liver Wind (headaches, irritability) and supporting the throat/voice area via harmonizing Qi around the neck. It’s used to calm the Shen (spirit), ease tension, and support the eyes (the Liver “opens to the eyes”).

Sodalite (TCM):

Linked with the Kidney–Water element for deep calm and with the Lung for steady breathing when anxiety flares. Often chosen to settle overthinking and improve sleep onset.

Clear Quartz:

Considered a Qi amplifier—used to direct, clarify, and distribute energy through all channels.

🌸 TCM Notes on Medical Healing (traditional/energetic):

  • Migraines & tension headaches: Lapis for Liver Wind; add Amethyst for extra calm.
  • Throat/thyroid area & voice strain: Lapis over the neck region; Quartz to broadcast.
  • Anxiety, restless sleep, palpitations: Sodalite to anchor Water; combine with gentle breathwork.
  • Eye strain: Lapis is traditionally chosen for visual fatigue.

TCM Pairings:

  • Fatigue & mental fog → Sodalite + Clear Quartz + Citrine
  • Headaches/irritability → Lapis + Amethyst
  • Sleep support → Sodalite + Moonstone
  • PMS mood swings → Lapis + Rose Quartz

🌺 Ayurveda

Lapis Lazuli (Ayurveda):

Traditionally linked with Ajna (Third Eye) and Vishuddha (Throat)—cooling for Pitta (heat, inflammation, irritability) and steadying for Vata (racing thoughts).

Sodalite (Ayurveda):

Naturally calming to Vata, supports clear communication and balanced respiration; useful when nervous energy disrupts rest.

Clear Quartz:

Tridoshic—can balance Vata/Pitta/Kapha, and is used to amplify intentions and the effects of nearby stones.

🌺 Ayurveda Notes on Medical Healing (traditional/energetic):

  • Pitta headaches, hot flashes, irritability: Lapis’ cooling nature.
  • Vata anxiety, insomnia, scattered focus: Sodalite’s calming influence.
  • Skin & hair appearance: Indirect support via stress reduction and better rest.

Suggested Ayurvedic Pairings:

  • Pitta soothing → Lapis + Moonstone
  • Vata calming → Sodalite + Smoky Quartz
  • Clarity & study → Sodalite + Clear Quartz + Fluorite

Eastern Medical Notes

These uses reflect traditional energetic frameworks rather than clinical evidence. Many wearers combine gemstones with lifestyle practices (breathwork, hydration, gentle stretching, cooling teas) for holistic support.

Western Metaphysical Perspective

  • Lapis Lazuli: Truth, wisdom, confidence; “royal” stone for intuition and expressive communication.
  • Sodalite: Logic + intuition, emotional balance, better sleep and dream recall.
  • Clear Quartz: Clarity, programmability, overall amplification.

Brief Western Pairings:

  • Communication & presentations → Lapis + Sodalite
  • Study/focus → Sodalite + Clear Quartz
  • Heart-felt truth → Lapis + Rose Quartz

Cleansing & Charging

Choose what resonates; be gentle—Lapis & Sodalite are porous/softer stones

Do

Cleanse:

    • Rest on a Selenite plate/wand overnight.
    • Soft dry microfiber wipe; a quick lukewarm rinse is okay occasionally, then dry immediately.
    • Smoke cleanse (sage, palo santo) if you use it.

Charge:

      • Moonlight (especially full moon).
      • Quiet sunlight at dawn for a few minutes (avoid intense midday).
      • Place near Clear Quartz or on a geode to gently amplify.

Don’t

  • Don’t soak (no saltwater; avoid baths, pools, hot tubs).
  • Don’t use ultrasonic/steam cleaners or harsh chemicals/acids—can etch Lapis/Sodalite.
  • Avoid long, direct midday sun (sodalite may fade; adhesives can weaken).
  • About Hematite: some practitioners feel it can dampen other stones during charging; if that matches your practice, charge this piece separately.

Everyday care: put jewelry on last (after lotions/perfume), take off before strenuous activity, and store separately to prevent scratches (Lapis/Sodalite are softer than Quartz).

Carabiner & Styling

Comes with the round stainless-steel carabiner shown. Other photos may feature different carabiners to illustrate interchangeability—browse the Necklace Carabiner page to add more styles. Length is ~24”, and may shift slightly with a larger/smaller carabiner or wrap style.
